Francophone Congress of Allergology 2026, at the Palais des Congrès de Paris

Understanding today’s environment to prevent tomorrow’s allergies.

At a time when allergic diseases continue to rise, it has become essential to shift our perspective. The environment can no longer be seen as a mere backdrop—it shapes, modulates, and sometimes triggers immune responses.
From the exposome—the sum of exposures throughout life—to the most refined immune mechanisms, one conviction guides my work: understanding these complex interactions is essential to anticipate, prevent, and ultimately better manage respiratory diseases.
Air pollution, lifestyle changes, and shifts in microbial ecosystems are all factors that are profoundly redefining our relationship with health. It is at this intersection between environment and biology that a crucial part of the medicine of tomorrow is being shaped.
Because research only truly makes sense when it engages with real-world practice, draws from it, and contributes concretely to improving medical practices.
This 21st Francophone Congress of Allergology was also an opportunity for Dr. Saliha Ait-Yahia to receive the French Society of Allergology award for her work on the impact of circadian rhythm on ILC2 cells and allergic asthma.

My thanks go to the organizers for their trust and for giving me the opportunity to speak on a topic that deeply drives me every day.
And above all, thank you to the audience—committed healthcare professionals—for the richness of the discussions, the relevance of the questions, and the particularly stimulating feedback.
