Recruiting an Infrastructure Manager
The Lille Centre for Infection and Immunity (CIIL) is recruiting an Infrastructure Manager (Group 2) through the CNRS external recruitment competition No. 213.
The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the CIIL Secretary General and in close collaboration with the SINBIOS platform (IT Support for Biology and Health).
Main Responsibilities
- IT infrastructure management: installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software; troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues; management of the local network.
- User support: assistance, training, and guidance for unit staff; management of IT equipment procurement.
- Information security: implementation of best practices; serving as the Information Systems Security Correspondent (SSI Correspondent); liaison with the IT departments of partner institutions.
Profile Sought
Technical skills
- Proficiency in Windows environments.
- General knowledge of Linux and macOS.
- Basic knowledge of hardware and software architectures.
- Understanding of local networks (DHCP, VLAN, DNS, Wi-Fi) and IT security principles.
- Experience with IT asset management software would be an advantage.
Professional skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capacity to manage priorities and urgent situations.
- Technical writing skills.
Personal qualities
- Responsiveness and adaptability.
- Good communication and listening skills.

Working Environment
The position is based within the CIIL General Administration Office and involves close interaction with scientific teams and partner IT services.
The post is located at the Institut de Biologie de Lille (Pasteur de Lille Campus), Lille, France. The site is a 3-minute walk from Lille Grand Palais metro station, close to major road networks, and within 10–15 minutes of Lille's main railway stations.

For a CNRS international audience, "Infrastructure Manager" is appropriate, although "IT Infrastructure Administrator" may be even more precise if the position is primarily technical rather than managerial.
