COMPETENCES / EXPERTISE

My field of expertise includes bacteriology, molecular biology, and protein biology. I have developed strong experience in the generation of mutant bacterial strains, nucleic acid purification, and the implementation of PCR, RT-PCR, and qPCR techniques. I am also proficient in protein production and affinity purification, the use of chromatographic techniques (HPLC), and Western blot analysis. My research also focuses on interactions between bacteria and the immune system, particularly the study of the serum complement system and immune cells. I am trained to work in BSL-3 containment laboratories, as well as in animal experimentation facilities (rodents and insects).
