RESEARCHER BIOGRAPHIE
Arnaud Machelart obtained his PhD in biology, with a specialization in immunology and infectiology, in 2016 from the University of Namur (Belgium). He subsequently completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Infection and Immunity of Lille until 2020. Since then, he is Inserm Research at the Center for Infection and Immunity of Lille. His research activities lie within the fields of immunology, infectiology, cell biology, and microbiology, and aim to better characterize host–pathogen interactions, particularly in the context of tuberculosis. His work more specifically focuses on the development of innovative therapeutic strategies against tuberculosis, based on targeted pulmonary delivery of antibiotic-loaded nanocarriers, and on the evaluation of their efficacy in experimental models of infections and secondary infections.
